Indian Ocean took root in 1990. Susmit Sen on the
guitar and Asheem Charavarthy on the tabla made their presence felt on the
music scene on the Indian sub-continent. Today, the Band features the fabulous
four - Susmit, Asheem, Rahul and Amit.
Indian Ocean
The collection of songs was named Indian Ocean and was released as a
cassette. Then came Desert Rain a landmark album released in 1997. In 2006 the
nine year old album was no. 2 on the iTunes UK world music charts!Came the
second millennium, and so did Kandisa, Indian Ocean’s 3rd album, soon acquiring
cult status and became a block-buster album of contemporary Indian music.
